Acceptable Use Policy

Xylo welcomes direct, emotional and difficult conversation. These rules do not punish people for expressing distress; they prevent use that harms others or the service.

Distress is allowed

You may talk honestly about depression, trauma, abuse, sex, identity, self-harm thoughts, anger or other difficult experiences. Swearing, disagreement and emotional language are not by themselves misuse. Seek immediate local help when someone is in imminent danger.

Harm to others

Do not use Xylo to plan, facilitate, celebrate or encourage violence, exploitation, stalking, harassment, non-consensual sexual conduct, child sexual abuse, trafficking, coercion, discrimination or other unlawful harm. Do not submit intimate or identifying information about another person without a lawful reason.

Dangerous and deceptive activity

Do not use Xylo to create malware, facilitate fraud, evade law enforcement or safety controls, impersonate another person, manipulate vulnerable people, or present AI output as professional medical or therapeutic advice. Do not use responses as the sole basis for high-impact decisions about another person.

Protect the service

Do not disrupt, overload, scrape, resell or automate abusive traffic; probe for vulnerabilities without authorization; bypass access or safety controls; introduce malicious code; or attempt to reach systems, prompts, credentials, transcripts or data not intended for you. Good-faith security reports through the contact page are welcome.

Enforcement and reporting

We may refuse requests, rate-limit or block traffic, preserve relevant records, remove access and cooperate with lawful requests. Decisions may use automated signals and human review. If you believe a response or enforcement action is wrong, use the flag or contact route and provide enough context for review.

Changes

We may update this policy as risks, law and the service evolve. Material revisions will receive a new effective date.
